Some familiar name and not everything is expensive
There’s something a little voyeuristic about analyzing the browsing histories of strangers. And yet, that’s precisely how we created this list of our most-searched wine reviews.
After sorting through more than 1.6 million searches, we compiled the most sought-after bottles on Winemag.com. And to prioritize wines still available to purchase, we kept it only to reviews published in the past year.
The results were decidedly democratic. Just two bottles cost more than $25, and the most-searched wine of the year is $17. Domestic bottles reign supreme, with California Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir dominating the list.
Here are the year’s most-searched wines on Winemag.com, ranked by search volume.
